19 Years

Laying it all out there. Nineteen years ago was my first day of sobriety. I was 25 and really lost. Art has always been a part of who I was and has continued to be. I have just never had the nerve to be so open. Well, it's a new chapter in my life. My love of animals and my art have always been something that feel like home to me. Recently, I have been trying to figure out where to start in the journey of starting an art business and continuing to work on the property I own. My ultimate goal is to start a rescue.

Well, I have been thinking about starting the journey by combining these two loves. Painting animals in need and donating half of the profits to effort that is helping these animals.

I wasn't fully sure of myself until today. Through my sobriety I have grown deeply in my spirituality and learned to trust those synchronicities in life as sign posts. I drew a card from my Horse Spirits Desk and WOW it was the card numbered 19! Horses learning to trust and grazing together. That's it! I must trust the universe and move forward with this inspiration to create and help animals.

So, I sat down to search for my next painting inspirational image and then another one of those sign posts. I noticed immediately a picture of horses running through a green field so similar to the 19 card I drew earlier.

This painting is in progress and will be added to shop for purchase once finished if this story or image speaks to you. The prices for the art on this site are composed of overhead (supplies, fees, time, etc.) and donations (the other half of the price). If you would like to donate a little extra, 100% of that will go to the animals, or when possible I will add links so that you may donate directly I you prefer.
